Steel-plastic composite tape is an important material for cable insulation protection, which is composed of steel tape and ethylene acrylic acid copolymer (EAA). The composite tape can be covered on one or both sides of the steel tape, providing reliable bonding properties. The bond between the steel strip and the copolymer is very strong, allowing the composite strip to form a strong bond with a variety of different types of polyethylene and halogen-free polyolefin sheathing resins. These resins include low density, linear low density, medium density and high density polyethylene, as well as halogen-free polyolefin (HFPO).


There are two options for the color of the steel composite belt, namely natural color and green. These colors are not only beautiful, but also have practical uses. Natural colors can make the composite tape consistent with the appearance of the cable, making the entire cable neater. Green can provide additional visual warning to make it easier to identify the location of the composite tape during installation and operation.

Application:

Steel-plastic composite tape is mainly used to form a comprehensive protective layer, providing a reliable moisture-proof, shielding and chemical protection layer for the core part of the cable. This composite belt has good moisture resistance and can effectively prevent moisture from penetrating into the cable, thus protecting the insulation performance of the cable. In addition, the composite tape can also provide a reliable shielding effect, blocking interference from external interference signals. Moreover, the adhesion between the copolymer and the resin is strong, which can effectively prevent the erosion of chemical substances and improve the chemical resistance of the cable.
